Easiest gourmet bacon cheeseburger recipe with an airfryer!
This will be the laziest and easiest gourmet burger you’ll ever make. I kid you not! I am kind of a lazy cook, always looking for shortcuts to get the same result. If you don’t have an airfryer, you can use a traditional oven with a grill (or broiler for Americans). My husband and I are big fans of a nice juicy burger, don’t mind paying more money for a top quality burger. Often times though, they come with a different kind of price. It will cost you a few hundred more calories for a gourmet burger splurge. We love to eat and indulge in delicious fatty foods but we no longer have that luxury to binge eat like we did in our early 20’s. There is way to still eat them without giving up much flavors. You can use a grill (bbq or oven grill) or an airfryer to cook your meat where you can see melted fat liquid afterward. I do find the airfryer to be easier than a traditional grill. Firstly, you do not need to preheat the airfryer. Secondly, food cooks much faster in high temperate so it doesn’t dry up fast. I know this reason is a little hard to soak in but it’s true. I didn’t believe it either. Just from those two reasons, I do not have a microwave or toaster and hardly use a traditional oven now. Here’s a picture of the melted fat from 2 burger patties and 4 slices of bacon. Sorry if this grosses you out, but I am glad that I didn’t have to ingest any of that fat into my stomach from eating a gourmet burger! For this recipe, I used fresh burger patties (15% fat) from a local market. Please don’t use frozen patties. I also used a really nice block of matured cheddar cheese. If you use streaky (American) bacon, they will give your burger an extra crunch. Enjoy!
